Impact of Town Waste Water on Water Quantity of River Bhama

The samples of river wastewater were collected during July to September 2010 at different places five kilometers on either sides of National Highway (NH50) bridge at Bham and were analyzed. The water quality with respect to physical parameters, mineral constituents, suspended matter, dissolved oxygen Demand and Nitrogen were observed. The DO, BOD and all other parameters of this river water are found to be within stipulated limits of inland surface water of Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) as well as Quality Criteria and Standards for irrigation Waters given in Environmental Guidelines and Standards in India. This river is found to be incapable of receiving any additional pollutional load in this segment at NH-50 National Highway Bridge.
